AUDI AG has won the legendary Le Mans 24 Hour race three times in a row and with this has written another important chapter in its successful motorsport history. Audi is the fifth manufacturer to have won the French long distance classic, which has been run since 1923, with the same team three times in a row. The company now takes the impressive Le Mans trophy home for good.
The prestigious trophy will be presented at the Paris Motor Show by Michel Cosson, President of the Automobile Club de l´Ouest (ACO), organiser of the Le Mans 24 Hour race, to the Chairman of the Board at AUDI AG, Dr Martin Winterkorn.
The official ceremony will be held at the AUDI AG Stand, Hall 4, Stand 201 On Thursday 26 September at 17:00 hours (local time).
Also present for this important occaison will be the Head of Audi Sport Dr Wolfgang Ullrich, team director Reinhold Joest and Audi works drivers Frank Biela, Tom Kristensen and Emanuele Pirro - the first driver team to win the Le Mans race three times in succession.
