"Kumho makes no apologies for taking on the leading brands with a tyre that delivers the same levels of ultra high performance owners of the likes of BMW, Mercedes Benz, Audi, Porsche and Aston Martin demand," said Mr Cho.

"KU39 is aimed squarely at the European premium tyre market taking on the likes of Bridgestone's Potenza REO50, Continental Extreme Contact, Michelin Pilot Sport 2 and Pirelli P Zero and out performs them in every area," he added.

"The advantage the KU39 Ecsta LE Sport offers is that while it matches the European and Japanese UHP opponents it offers a significant price advantage by comparison."

Although designed for maximum performance this tyre possesses controlled ride and refinement which minimises noise levels while driving at high speed.
