Jodi Anasta, one of Australia's most popular actors, is now a committed Mazda driver having signed as a Mazda ambassador.

A former model, Anasta is best known for her roles in Home and Away - which earned her a Logie award for most popular new female talent - and more recently Neighbours, and also charmed a national prime time audience when she competed in Dancing with the Stars.

The personification of style, and a red carpet favourite, Anasta will be driving the top-of-the-range Next-Gen Mazda CX-5 Akera, Australia's favourite SUV for the past four years.

"It is absolutely amazing, and I'm very excited, to be a part of the Mazda family," said new Mazda Australia ambassador Jodi Anasta.

"Mazda makes beautifully designed cars that are lovely to drive.

"As a parent, safety is also critically important to me, and Mazda includes all of the latest safety technology to ensure we are safe on the road.

"I also love how much Mazda does in the community, particularly when it comes to the arts, which is obviously close to my heart.

"I'm very much looking forward to working with the Mazda team."

As a member of Mazda's small but committed group of brand ambassadors, Anasta will maintain the Mazda conversation in lifestyle and social circles – an important focus for Mazda.

"We are delighted to welcome Jodi to Mazda," said Mazda Australia marketing director Alastair Doak.

"She is a very active social media user and has a significant following from a demographic that is important to Mazda.

"Over the year we have a lot of fun and stylish lifestyle-focussed events planned that will suit her personality and help Mazda to reach an audience beyond a strict automotive one."

Jodi Anasta joins North Melbourne captain Jack Ziebell, television presenter Lauren Phillips, 'The Block' Reno royals Kyal and Kara Demmrich, and musical theatre star Rob Mills in Mazda Australia's ambassador program
