Polaris Champion driver and current ARC SxS Challenge points leader Cody Crocker has made it clear to his competitors that he won't be backing off one iota in his Polaris XP 1000 this weekend in Coffs Harbour.

This season has seen the promise of glory for the CanAm Turbo snatched from them by the reliability of the Polaris and the skill of Cody Crocker. CanAm driver Michael Guest has announced he will be backing off in an attempt to get his car across the line, the car burdened with an inability to stay at full-noise for the duration of this gruelling test.

"It doesn't bother me one bit" said Crocker. "Even though we were losing a little time at the first round, we considerably closed the gap on Guesty at round two and still won both rounds through consistency and reliability. I always come to win, so Guesty's announcent to "pace himself" might require a rethink when he sees he is behind the Polaris RZRs of myself and Iain Hughes".

With 2 wins from 2 rounds this year, the team of Cody Crocker and Co-driver Greg Foletta are looking good for the championship. "This really is the only time CanAm are going to get a crack at us, and we genuinely welcome the competition" said Team Manager Simon Gloyne. "Even though our reliability and ability to run at full pace all day has contributed to our lead this year, next year we'll have the new and substantially re-engineered Polaris RZR Turbo and we'll be looking for outright, not class category honours.

About Polaris Industries & Polaris Racing Australia

Polaris is a recognized leader in the powersports industry with annual sales exceeding $4.4 billion. Polaris designs, engineers, manufactures and markets innovative, high quality off-road vehicles (ORVs), including all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and the Polaris RANGER & RZR side x side vehicles, snowmobiles, motorcycles and on-road electric/hybrid powered vehicles.

Polaris Racing is spear headed by Rally veteran former Subaru Australia Rally Team Driver, 4 time Asia Pacific Rally Champion Cody Crocker and longtime co-driver and friend Greg Foletta.

The ARC side x side Challenge is designed to avoid "cheque book" racing, anyone can enter the side x side class of the ARC with a Polaris RZR and all they need to add is the required CAMS safety cage and equipment. This puts everyone on a level playing field and makes motorsport very accessible with low costs involved compared to that of a properly set up Rally Car.
