POLARIS RZR XP 1000's ARE UNDEFEATED WINNING ALL 59 ARC STAGES OF THE YEAR

The Polaris Racing Team of Driver Cody Crocker and Co-Driver Greg Foletta won 10 out of 13 stages on the weekend at Rally Victoria there by securing both the win at the Rally and the 2014 ARC SxS Challenge season win. The win marks the team's third consecutive season win since the ARC SxS Challenge's inception in 2012.

From the sandy loose surfaces in Western Australia and New South Wales, to the rain and mud of South Australia, ending with the loose gravel forestry tracks in Victoria, all year the Polaris RZR XP 1000's of the Polaris Racing Team and the Polaris Tamworth Team have been unstoppable. Crocker and Foletta placed first in a total of 51 out of 59 stages this year totaling 718.15 competitive kilometers with the Polaris Tamworth team of Iain Hughes and David Piper winning 7 stages. The Polaris Tamworth team of Phil Swindale and David Piper took out one stage at Rally Australia where they posted the fastest time of any car in the competition at the Rally's Super Special Stage in the town of Coffs Harbour.

While the Polaris Racing Team won 3 out of the 4 Rally's in this year's SxS Challenge season, a big highlight for the Polaris teams at Rally SA, NSW and VIC was posting times faster than the ARC cars in each Rally's respective Super Special Stage. The Polaris teams threw out the Rally rule book and stamped their place in Australian motorsport showing the Rally community that the SxS class means business.

It all began at Rally SA were Crocker and Foletta took on the might of Australian Rallying and won by taking out the top 10 shootout against all classes of vehicles. The Polaris Racing Team made history placing first by a nail biting .1 of a second in the "Gawler Cup" over the 2014 Western Australian Rally winning ARC class team of Reeves/Gelsomino in their Mazda 2.

The game changing racing continued at Rally Australia in Coffs Harbour NSW where Polaris racers Crocker/Foletta and Swindale/Piper raised the bar even higher for the SxS class. Each teams stock RZR XP 1000's (with required safety features) each worth approximately $40k posted the two fastest times out of all classes of vehicles on the Super Special Stage on the Friday night of the Rally, with Swindale/Piper taking first place and Crocker/Foletta taking second. Both Polaris teams beat Rally Veteran Neal Bates who placed fourth overall in his Toyota Celica.

The Polaris Racing Team of Crocker/Foletta backed up the Friday night performance again on the Saturday night Super Special Stage placing first overall with the fastest time out of all competitors, beating the fastest ARC car class time set by Pedder/Moscatt in their Renault by a massive 10 seconds.

Continuing the tradition of dominating on Super Special Stages, at this weekend's Rally Victoria, the Polaris Racing Team of Crocker/Foletta and the Polaris Tamworth Team of Hughes/Piper placed first and second respectively on the SxS class run of the Super Special Stage but again both teams posted times faster than any ARC car.

"Our RZR XP 1000 has performed smooth and strong throughout the year, It is a pleasure to drive; it does everything it is meant to do well and reliably but it also does something it wasn't supposed to do and that is beat the best Rally Cars in the game! I am very proud to drive the Polaris RZR product, who would have thought that three Rally's in a row a $40,000 RZR would beat the $200,000 ARC cars…incredible!" said Cody Crocker.

This is yet another display of how a race ready Polaris RZR XP 1000 for $35-40k can not only compete but win up against the best the Rally world has to offer. The ARC cars are easily worth $100k plus and they easily cost over $100k to keep running" continued Crocker .

The ARC SxS Challenge was designed in partnership between the ARC, Polaris and Can-Am to avoid "cheque book" racing, anyone can enter the SxS class of the ARC with a Polaris RZR and all they need to add is the required CAMS safety cage and equipment. This puts everyone on a level playing field and makes motorsport very accessible with low costs involved compared to that of a properly set up Rally Car. As we have seen in this year's season too, not only is SxS racing cheaper but racers can outperform the best ARC cars.
