30 November 2011 - Meet Honda's 2012 TRX500FPA which, along with being the only Hydrostatic ATV in the 4x4 world, boasts class leading features.

It's a Honda and is both smart and strong. The new TRX500FPA is equally ready for an adventure or for tough work and demonstrates Honda's world renowned quality, reliability and durability.

The TRX500FPA features Hondamatic transmission, a unique continuously variable, hydromechanical design that gives this ATV formidable off-road prowess. It is compact, quiet, maintenance-free and very rugged. Hondamatic transmission features true engine braking, unlike conventional belt-drive designs.

The liquid-cooled, overhead-valve, single-cylinder, 499cc four-stroke engine is mounted longitudinally in the frame, allowing direct driveshaft alignment to front and rear wheels for improved drivetrain efficiency. Combine Honda's easy-to-use TraxLok™ 2WD/4WD system and this ATV is ready to tackle the toughest terrain Australia has to offer.

Electric Power Steering (EPS) features sophisticated torque sensors that measure how much force is being applied and then tailors how much extra assist is needed. It makes life much easier, especially when riding over ruts, rocks and logs or on sidehills.

Boasting Honda's Electric Shift Program (ESP®) the TRX500FPA allows rider the option of push-button shifting.

Practicality is paramount for the TRX500FPA thanks to the multi-function LCD digital instrumentation which is compact, tough and waterproof and features large readouts. In addition, large front and rear cargo racks along with unique rear-opening storage compartment ensure nothing is too much for this hardworking ATV.

Other useful features include specially designed floor boards allowing better grip, a waterproof accessory socket and a triple headlight system for optimal light distribution.

The TRX500FPA is available now, see your Honda Dealer.
