Kyle Webster of Penrite-Pirelli CRF Honda Racing now sits 5th overall in the Championship after a strong performance at round 5 of the MX Nationals at Murray Bridge.

Webster took 3rd in moto 1 and 4th in moto 2 in the MX2, resulting in much needed points for the team at the half way mark of the season.

Hitting moto 1 with a good start, Webster positioned himself in 3rd behind the Championship leaders and showed competitive pace right to the finish line. Moto 2 showed similar patterns and even with a slight error, Webster still managed to stay with the leaders and take out 4th.

"I'm pleased with my results after Murray Bridge, as I made up some very good points in the Championship, moving from P7 to P5! The points between all of us in the top 5 is extremely tight going into this midseason break so heading into the second half, my goal is podium finishes at each round to break into the top 3!" Webster said.

Meanwhile, teammate Jackson Richardson is out for the rest of the MX season due to a shoulder injury sustained at the Wonthaggi round of the Championship.

Surgery went well late last week and Richardson will now set his sights on recovery and preparation for the SX Championship. The double current Champion is focused on round 1 which commences in September.

"Of-course I'm bummed. I know it's part of racing but I really wanted to build into the MX Nationals Championship this year with the team. Penrite-Pirelli CRF Honda Racing have backed me and I certainly wanted a different result for the team and myself," said Richardson.

Round 6 of the MX Nationals will be held in Conondale, QLD on 1st July. For more information visit:  https://www.mxnationals.com.au
