The Hyundai iLoad has again been recognised after receiving the 2011 carsales.com.au 'People's Choice Award' in the Light Commercial Van category for a second consecutive year. The multi-award winning iLoad impressed again with a combination of efficiency, practicality, reliability, and versatility.

The carsales.com.au People's Choice Awards are an important measure of the strength of brands and models in the new car marketplace. Voting is based on genuine customer new car purchase enquiries placed via carsales' network of sites, including carsales.com.au, CarPoint.com.au, motoring.com.au, discountnewcars.com.au and prestigenewcars.com.au.

The carsales network operates a national network of online sites, including carsales.com.au and CarPoint.com.au. Consumers using any of these sites for new car enquiry were able to vote for their favourite vehicles across 14 categories, the cars with the highest number of genuine sales enquiries in each category top the list.

The votes were tallied over a 12-month period from November 1, 2010 to October 31, 2011 with each vote equalling one genuine enquiry on a new car via one of the carsales network websites.

"There seems to be new Car of the Year awards popping up everywhere," said Mike Sinclair www.carsales.com.au Editor-in-chief. "The carsales.com.au People's Choice Awards are very different - they consistently reflect new car shoppers' preferences and have done so since they were introduced in 2003."

The broad appeal of iLoad, which has seen it top the light commercial vehicle segment in the Australian automotive market November year-to-date, is complimented by its five-year / 160,000km warranty, with the added benefit of low cost of ownership and the choice of either the efficient 2.4-litre Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) petrol engine or economic 2.5-litre CRDi turbo diesel engine.

Offering business a myriad of load carrying possibilities, the iLoad can handle up to two pallets with ease within its 4.3 cubic metre capacity, while offering seating options for either three passengers - or up to six in crew van configuration. A functional and well-designed interior focuses on driver comfort including air-conditioning, power windows and mirrors, indoor storage compartments, cup holders and twin glove box to provide enhanced convenience and improved functionality.

Bluetooth™ connectivity provides safe hands-free telephone use and audio streaming with any compatible device. Full iPod® integration (via the USB port) allows customers to connect using their original iPod cables, conveniently making operation possible via the head unit or steering wheel.

The intelligent design of the iLoad is demonstrated by offering standard twin sliding doors to reduce reach for easy load and unload, and a large lift tailgate to provide a sheltered workspace, Twin-swing (barn) doors are available as a factory option - with a handy removable hinge pin for optimum access - and a handy technician step.

Genuine Hyundai Accessories are also available such as courier wooden floor insert and a comprehensive range of roof rack (including a full technician kit) plus lifestyle accessories are available to further meet individual business and owner needs.

When it comes to safety, the iLoad certainly delivers. The range is equipped with an array of highly advanced active and passive safety enhancements and standard features, including four-channel, four-sensor Anti-skid Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), driver and passenger airbags and three-point retractable seat belts for all occupants. iLoad attains a 4* ANCAP crash safety rating.
