• Peugeot, Citroen and DS vehicles in Australia to receive map updates for free
  • Free updates apply to first three years of vehicle ownership
  • Applied retrospectively to vehicles purchased from January 1, 2013
  • Updates applied as part of routine servicing

Peugeot and Citroen in Australia have announced a new ownership initiative – MapCare.

MapCare covers mapping software updates for all vehicles fitted with a factory satellite navigation system (systems include RT6, SMEG and SMG+ systems).

Owners will be entitled to a maximum of three-updates over the three year period, with no charge as a result of the updates.

Updates to mapping software will form part of the routine servicing schedule at authorised Peugeot, Citroen and DS servicing sites nationwide.

John Startari, General Manager of Peugeot, Citroen and DS in Australia said that the initiative was aimed at taking one more financial burden out of the ownership equation.

"We want the purchase of a vehicle to be as simple as possible, and with MapCare owners will not have to worry about the cost of updates to the navigation system in their Peugeot, Citroen or DS vehicle," said Startari.

MapCare provides an additional incentive for customers to service at their authorised local dealer, as only the dealer can perform the complimentary map updates.  With automotive map updates priced at around $150 in the Australian market; this provides significant value to our customers.

MapCare will compliment Peugeot, Citroen and DS factory warranty, roadside assist and servicing programs.
