Peugeot have unveiled the all-new 3008 SUV at a gala event in Paris overnight.

The Peugeot 3008 brings with it an all-new proposition for the small SUV segment, with an all-new platform, all-new design and all-new drivetrains.

Presented with the opportunity to design and engineer the new 3008 from the ground up, engineers refined the vehicles focus to that of the SUV segment, with the aim of delivering a modern, sleek and intelligently packaged SUV.

Kai Bruesewitz, General Manager for Peugeot Australia said the all-new 3008 continues Peugeot's product led revival.

"The 3008 will continue Peugeot's product led reinvention, joining the highly awarded 308 in the stable of world leading products," said Bruesewitz.

"The 3008 brings with it many firsts; including the first SUV built on our highly applauded EMP2, the first Peugeot to feature a wireless charging dock, the first to feature a scooter and the first to feature the next generation i-Cockpit interior,

"We believe that the new Peugeot 3008 will deliver Australian customers a true French take on the SUV, one that merges leading edge technology and design with practicality and comfort." said Bruesewitz.

The all-new 3008 is due for Australian introduction in 2017, with final specification and pricing confirmed closer to launch.

Breath-taking interior design

Inside, the all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV is commanded by a spectacular, almost futuristic dashboard. This coherent and highly technologicalensemble is the latest generation Peugeot i-Cockpit®, a concept that has rewritten the book on the car cockpit. Here, everything is at arm's length to the driver, all contained within a high-tech niche.

The steering wheel is even more compact and has been redesigned with two flats to make it easier to grip and to afford the driver maximum visibility and legroom. The close attention paid to material choices and attention to detail – full hide leather from level 2, chrome inserts, gloss black trims – deliver a high level of perceived quality and attractiveness.

The large 8" touch-screen resembles a tablet installed in the centre of the dashboard and is equipped with capacitive technology for greater reactivity and practicality. It is accompanied by six elegant piano-key "toggle switches" - giving direct and permanent access to the main control functions: radio, climate control, navigation, vehicle parameters and telephone.

The heads-up instrument unit unveils in series production a high-resolution 12.3" screen with futuristic graphics. It can be completely configured and personalised, and brings together all that the driver could want in their field of view.

Five different display modes – controlled from the steering wheel – allow the driver to configure the instrument unit "a la carte". The « Personal » mode in particular, configured from the touch-screen, allows the driver to display a wide choice of information: copy of navigation instructions, driver aids, engine parameters, trip computer, route information etc. The visual impact of each setting is highlighted by a series of animations and transitions which are a treat for the eyes.

But this enhancement of the Peugeot i-Cockpit® doesn't end there. Because pleasure is still one of Peugeot's core values, it pushes the sensory boundaries even further. So, by a simple press of a special switch – next to the toggle switches – the  new Peugeot 3008 SUV calls up a true Master of Ceremonies to enhance the driving experience:  the i-Cockpit® Amplify. In this way, almost all the senses are immediately aroused:
