After a 14-month gap between limited edition Impreza WRX models, Subaru has launched the latest in its occasional series of specials, the Clubspec Evo 6.
Just 200 of the legendary turbocharged performance cars are being produced.
Available exclusively as a sedan, Impreza WRX Clubspec Evo 6 adds the following to standard WRX's already extensive specification:
- Factory-fitted leather trim on the seats
- Factory-fitted sunroof
- Side airbags (which form part of the front seats)
The car is available in graphite black mica, WR blue and premium silver metallic paint.
The additional specification is valued at more than $4,500.
Impreza WRX Clubspec Evo 6 is priced at $45,670 for the manual sedan and $48,170 for the automatic.
The car also includes the many refinements incorporated in the 2003 model year version.
These include:
- Active Valve Control System - for improved engine efficiency
- Bonnet scoop - revised for aerodynamic efficiency
- Centre tachometer
- Gear lever-controlled Sportshift for automatic transmission models
- Handbrake lever - chrome button
- Mesh grille
- Power - 2.0 litre turbocharged engine now produces 168 kW at 6,000 rpm
- Wheels - titanium finish
Achieving the highest levels of security, all Impreza WRXs include a keypad alarm immobiliser system and are protected by microscopic DataDots, each of which carries the vehicle's unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), to deter thieves.
