Suzuki is pleased to announce the imminent arrival of the next generation of Australia's favourite trail bike.

The 2015 DR-Z400E and DR-Z250 are expected to hit Australian shores in August, adding another chapter to one of the brand's most famous nameplates.

Boasting an exciting new color scheme of Champion Yellow and Black, the 2015 DR-Z machines draw inspiration from the championship-winning RM-Z range.

Featuring powerful four-stroke engines, agile handling and a rugged chassis ready to take on the toughest terrain, the DR-Z400E and DR-Z250 have carved an enviable reputation for reliability and fuss-free riding.

Both new models are also 100% street-legal and learner approved, making the DR-Z400E and DR-Z250 ideal for new riders looking for a motorcycle suitable for work and play.

The 2015 DR-Z250 features a 249cc engine, boasting DOHC for a broad power range and abundant low-rev torque, while the proven Suzuki Advanced Cooling System (SACS) maintains optimum engine temperatures.

The aluminium cylinder is plated with race tested Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material (SCEM) coating for weight reduction and better heat transfer. It comes with a slick-shifting six-speed transmission and a large, four litre airbox with quick release fasteners for easy maintenance.

A rider-friendly chassis is complemented by long travel front forks with 12-way compression and 17-way rebound damping force adjustment. The remote-reservoir shock absorber also features fully adjustable compression and rebound damping force and spring preload.

Inspired by the RM-Z, the DR-Z250 comes with a powerful braking system featuring a large front disc brake with twin-piston caliper while the rear brake comes with a guard for the caliper and disc.

The DR-Z400E comes with a 398cc DOHC engine for those riders wanting even more power. It is matched with a digitally mapped DC-CDI system that monitors engine speed and throttle position to automatically adjust ignition timing for maximum efficiency.

A rider-friendly electric start ensures fuss-free riding in all conditions, while handling is covered by the long travel 48mm stanchion tube front forks and progressive linkage rear suspension, which are both fully adjustable.
