- A compact sedan body, with an attractive, stylish design
- Three sporty, yet efficient engine variants at launch
Australia, 23 December 2013: Audi Australia Pty Ltd is gearing up for the January 2014 launch of the all-new Audi A3 Sedan. This stylish Sedan, the first of its kind for Audi, features a potent combination of powerful performance, equipment from the luxury class, efficient technology and outstanding quality, from just $39,800 MLP.
Audi Australia's Managing Director, Andrew Doyle, said the new A3 Sedan offers enormous growth opportunities for Audi in the compact premium segment.
"The all-new A3 Sedan is impressive. It looks powerful on the road, yet sips fuel frugally, it offers luxury appointments inside and out, yet it is priced very attractively. It's in a unique position in its segment, and we are very confident that buyers will respond very positively when this newest A3 variant arrives next month," said Mr Doyle.
"We are thrilled with the price positioning of this new model. It's a highly competitive segment of the market and the A3 Sportback has been very well-accepted since its May 2013 launch. We are now looking forward to even more customer interest with the arrival of this all new body style for the range," he added.
Audi will bring three engine variants to Australia initially, including the 1.4 TFSI Attraction model with advanced Cylinder-on-Demand technology. In the Ambition model range, the 2.0 TDI will be offered, while the 1.8 TFSI will be offered both as a front-wheel drive and quattro model. The efficient and sporty S tronic dual-clutch transmission is fitted as standard to all models.
All models will feature a similarly high level of specification as found in the all-new A3 Sportback. In addition, a range of high-value option packages will be available.
