The introduction of both the new Q8 50 e-tron quattro SUV and the SQ8 e-tron in both SUV and Sportback body styles mean that the full Q8 e-tron range is now available in Australia, as the brand just last year launched initially with the lone Q8 55 e-tron variant. While the Q8 55 e-tron model has been available in both SUV and Sportback since its launch in 2023, the introduction of the new models sees the farewell for the Q8 55 e-tron in the SUV body style, now available in only the Sportback body style.

With the introduction of the Audi Q8 50 e-tron and SQ8 e-tron models, the full suite of the Q8 e-tron model range is now available in Australia, offering customers a comprehensive lineup of electric luxury SUVs to choose from. Underneath its sculpted exterior lies a powerful 95 kWh battery pack that fuels two electric motors—one on each axle—delivering a combined output of 250 kW and an impressive torque of 664 Nm. This powertrain propels the Q8 50 e-tron from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds (in boost mode), displaying Audi's commitment to electrified performance even at the entry level.

But it is not just about raw power; the Audi Q8 50 e-tron quattro offers an unparalleled driving experience with advanced handling and stability, thanks to its sophisticated suspension system, precise steering, and the benefit of all-wheel drive with quattro. Whether navigating city streets or embarking on long journeys, the Q8 50 e-tron delivers a smooth and effortless ride, setting a new standard for electric luxury SUVs. Moreover, the Q8 50 e-tron offers unparalleled convenience with its DC charging performance of up to 150 kW, enabling a charging time of approximately 28 minutes from 10 to 80 percent. This means that Audi drivers can spend more time on the road and less time waiting for their vehicle to charge.

Inside, the Audi Q8 50 e-tron boasts a meticulously crafted interior, exuding luxury and refinement at every turn. Premium materials and impeccable craftsmanship create an inviting atmosphere, while advanced technology, including Audi's MMI navigation, Audi virtual cockpit, and a host of driver safety assistance systems, keeping drivers connected and in control.

Top of the range: the Audi SQ8 e-tron

For those looking for even greater performance, the Audi SQ8 e-tron raises the bar with its electrifying powertrain and dynamic capabilities. Available in both SUV and Sportback body styles, the SQ8 e-tron is equipped with a larger 114 kWh battery and three electric motors—one on the front axle and two on the rear. This allows the SQ8 e-tron to deliver a staggering output of 370 kW and an impressive torque of 973 Nm, with the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds (in boost mode), offering sports car-like performance in a luxury SUV package.

Furthermore, the Audi SQ8 e-tron features advanced handling technologies, including Audi's legendary quattro all-wheel-drive system and adaptive air suspension sport, ensuring precise control and agility in any driving condition. Whether cornering at high speeds or navigating challenging terrain, the SQ8 e-tron inspires confidence and excitement behind the wheel.

Additionally, the SQ8 e-tron features DC charging performance of up to 170 kW, enabling a charging time of approximately 31 minutes from 10 to 80 percent. This ensures that Audi enthusiasts can experience thrilling performance without compromising on efficiency or convenience. Innovative technology such as virtual exterior mirrors are also available on both models, further enhancing the driving experience, providing improved visibility, and reducing aerodynamic drag for greater efficiency. 

It is not all in the dynamics, however, as the new SQ8 e-tron is certainly a welcome sight in styling, design, and appointment. New and unique to the SQ8 e-tron, a projection light within the Singleframe grille highlights the top of the Audi rings and differentiates the S model from the rest of the range, inviting an imposing road presence.

All models within the Audi Q8 e-tron range come with six years Audi scheduled servicing, six years Audi roadside assist, and a six year public charging subscription to the Chargefox network – Australia's largest EV charging network of which Audi Australia is a founding partner.

The Q8 e-tron models also come with the peace-of-mind of a five-year warranty and twelve years manufacturing warranty for bodywork against corrosion perforation for new vehicles, as well as an eight-year battery warranty.
