GWM strong sales run in Australia continues, ending the first half of 2024 with record sales and market share while continuing to outpace the market.
As the brand continues its positive momentum in Australia, VFACTS national sales data just released shows GWM June sales at an all-time monthly high of 4,173 units, representing a market share of 3.5%. This strong close to H1 2024 results in GWM YTD sales of 21,524, an increase of 22.7% over the same period last year and a 3.4% market share.
The Haval Jolion small SUV led the way in June with a record 1,305 sales for an 8.9% segment share with YTD sales now 29.1% up year-on-year.
Further reinforcing GWM’s strong SUV credentials in June, 916 Haval H6 sales were recorded with YTD sales now at 4,724, up 5.7% on the same period last year.
The GWM Tank 4x4 range also reached record levels last month with a combined contribution of 544 sales adding further momentum.

GWM expanded their product range offering in the first half of 2024, introducing new models such as the Tank 500, Cannon Alpha, Australia’s first hybrid ute, and the new Haval Jolion Hybrid.
The GWM brand now sells 8 models across the Haval SUV, Tank 4x4, Ora EV and GWM Ute ranges.
