Brown and Watson International, with its leading lighting and electrical brands Narva and Projecta, have featured prominently at the 2019 Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo Awards held in Melbourne, 4 – 6 April, taking out two prestigious accolades over the period.
The combined Narva and Projecta stand was awarded 'Best Stand over 36m² (the largest stand category), with judges impressed with each brand's innovative design theme and quality exhibits to wow trade and wholesale attendees.
The Narva area featured an 'ultimate man cave / workshop' theme that included a real hoist over which the fully equipped Narva Ford Raptor was positioned, along with a bar dubbed the 'refuelling station', where attendees could visit to get hot and cold drinks while recharging their mobile phones on Narva's new QI Wireless charging devices.
For added authenticity, discrete speakers also played workshop/garage sound effects in the background.
Also on the stand was a virtual reality driving light experience on a huge 80" television, attractive new display pods providing on-screen product information, and interactive product exhibits for attendees to experience.
From a product perspective, all lighting on the stand was completely new and included the 'Advanced Lighting Systems' (ALS) range comprising of rechargeable (and some corded) L.E.D audio lights, flood lights, inspection lights and head torches.
At the expo Narva also launched a new driving light merchandiser for retail showrooms and displayed advanced new Performance Globe blister packaging on a merchandise gondola.
Additionally, the event provided the perfect occasion for the brand to launch its new 2019/20 bumper catalogue, givin attendees an opportunity to win the ultimate man cave prize of a Kincrome Tool Chest and a range of ALS products.
And in another boon for the Narva brand, it was awarded the '2018 Kenworth Supplier of the Year (Category B)' award and named the '2018 PACCAR Parts Supplier of the Year', at a separate awards ceremony, demonstrating the high regard in which Narva products, service and support are held by business partners.
The Projecta display was no less engaging or innovative and featured a caravan park theme which included a caravan cutaway fitted with the new INTELLI-RV Power Management System. This innovation demonstrated how the owner could manage all of the caravan's lighting and electrical features from a set of controls on a nearby plinth.
The caravan was coupled to the Projecta Ford Raptor and showed this vehicle's open canopy which was equipped with a comprehensive and neat fitout of Projecta products including inverters, battery monitors, DC/DC charges and other equipment.
Capping off the camping/caravanning environment was artificial grass and a campfire scene that even had a glowing red fire.
As per its Narva sister brand, the Projecta area also featured new modern style display pods, in this case integrated with interactive tablets with glowing opaque colour coordinated tops that aligned the information with the relevant Projecta product: Silver for 'Intelli', Red for 'Pro and Blue for 'Regular'.
The accolades continued with the Projecta INTELLI-RV being judged 'Most Innovative New Aftermarket Product (Electrical)' beating out a selection of high profile competitors. Award criteria including: product innovation in the category, value for customers and the affect the product would have on company profitability.
In commenting on the awards success, Brown and Watson International CEO, George Davies, said he was thrilled that Narva and Projecta were receiving such positive industry recognition.
