SsangYong Australia (SYAu) is pleased to announce the appointment of three key personnel to the team at their new headquarters in Melbourne.
Steve Maciver has been appointed to the role of National Marketing Manager. Steve comes to SsangYong with 18 years automotive experience with the last 13 of those at Mazda. Most recently, he was State Manager and prior to that held a number of key marketing roles including Senior Manager of Digital & Loyalty and Senior Manager of Public Relations. Before joining Mazda, Steve also spent 5 years with Holden.
PR and Product Planning Manager, John Taylor, also comes with extensive background in the automotive industry. He was initially a development engineer with TWR in Europe before moving to GM Holden engineering and then Corporate Communications, including his most recent role as Product Communications Manager at Mitsubishi Motors Australia.
Steve Dimitrovski also joins the marketing team at SsangYong's local arm as Digital and Brand Manager with extensive experience as a Digital Marketing Manager in the retail and utilities sectors across Australia and New Zealand. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge in brand experience design and digital marketing.

SsangYong cars are manufactured in South Korea by SsangYong Motor, which is 75 per cent owned by the Indian engineering conglomerate Mahindra & Mahindra. SsangYong Australia is the company's first factory subsidiary, with headquarters in Melbourne, Victoria. Established in 1954, SsangYong is Korea's oldest vehicle manufacturer and only 4x4 and SUV specialist producer.
